Mama has dedicated himself to various social and religious causes, ensuring that the Trust actively contributes to the upliftment of society while preserving our culture and values.

VEDA PARIPALANA

Mahaperiyava’s Emphasis on Veda Paripalana

Sri Mahaperiyava dedicated his life to the preservation, propagation, and protection of the Vedas (Veda Paripalana). He firmly believed that the Vedas are the foundation of Sanatana Dharma and that their uninterrupted chanting and practice ensure the spiritual and moral well-being of society.

His unwavering efforts led to a revival of Vedic studies, inspiring countless devotees to participate in Veda Rakshana (protection of the Vedas), ensuring the timeless wisdom of the scriptures is preserved for future generations.

Sri Mahaperiyavar Arul Trust’s Commitment to Veda Rakshana

The Sri Mahaperiyavar Arul Trust is deeply committed to Veda Rakshana activities. Sri GR Mama believes that supporting existing Veda Patashalas is more impactful than establishing new ones, ensuring the sustenance of traditional learning.

Currently, the Trust has adopted four Veda Patashalas and provides essential support to sustain them. Sri GR Mama actively engages with these Patashalas, investing time to monitor their progress

How Devotees Can Contribute

Devotees can actively participate in Veda Rakshana by making financial contributions to the Sri Mahaperiyavar Arul Trust. These contributions will be utilized for various essential support activities, including:

  • Sustenance of Veda Patashalas – Ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of Patashalas by covering operational expenses.
  • Supporting Vedic Students – Providing food, accommodation, study materials, and other necessities.
  • Infrastructure Development – Maintaining and improving Patashala facilities to create a conducive learning environment.

Every contribution, big or small, plays a vital role in preserving Sanatana Dharma and ensuring that Mahaperiyava’s vision of Veda Rakshana continues for generations to come.

GHO SAMRAKSHANA

Sri Mahaperiyava strongly emphasized the importance of Gho Samrakshana (cow protection) as a sacred duty in Sanatana Dharma. He regarded the Gomata as a divine embodiment of all Devas and Rishis, stressing that serving and protecting cows brings immense spiritual merit (Punya) and ensures the well-being of society.

For Mahaperiyava, Gho Samrakshana was not just about physical care of cows but a way to preserve Dharma. His teachings continue to inspire many to uphold this sacred tradition with devotion and commitment.

Inspired by his footsteps, GR Mama has dedicated himself to the noble cause of Gho Rakshana through the Sri Mahaperiyavar Arul Trust.

What began as a small support for a ghoshala with 10 cattle has now expanded to encompass 4 ghoshalas, caring for over 350 cattle.

The activities under the Gho Samrakshanam initiative encompass the following:

  • Feeding of Cattle – Providing nutritious fodder and clean water to ensure the well-being and health of the cows.
  • Construction and Maintenance of Cattle Sheds – Building and upkeeping spacious, hygienic shelters to protect the cattle from harsh weather conditions.
  • Saving Cows from Slaughterhouses – Rescuing cows from distressing situations and offering them a safe and secure environment for a peaceful life.
  • Managing the Ghoshalas – Ensuring proper healthcare for the cattle, fair wages for ghoshala workers, and the smooth functioning of ghoshala daily operations.
How Devotees Can Contribute

Devotees are warmly invited to support this sacred mission by making a generous contribution to the Trust’s Gho Samrakshana fund. Every donation, big or small, will go a long way in protecting and caring for these divine beings.

Additionally, devotees can participate in Gho Daanam, a highly meritorious act, or perform special pujas to Gomata for their own well-being and spiritual upliftment.

Through these heartfelt contributions, we collectively honor Mahaperiyava’s vision, ensuring that Gomata is protected, nurtured, and revered in accordance with the timeless wisdom of Sanatana Dharma.

KOVILGALAI KONDADUVOM – CELEBRATE TEMPLES

Mahaperiyava’s Vision: Ensuring Daily Pujas in Temples

One of Sri Mahaperiyava’s profound visions was to ensure that every temple, has at least one puja performed daily. He firmly believed that regular temple worship is essential for maintaining the spiritual and cultural fabric of society.  However, many temples, especially in remote areas, struggle to conduct even one daily puja due to a lack of resources. To address this, the Sri Mahaperiyavar Arul Trust launched the noble initiative “Kovilgalai Kondaduvom – Celebrate Temples.”

Under this initiative, the Trust has currently identified around 70 temples that require support for their daily pujas. Every month, puja essentials such as oil, lamps, dhupa (incense), vastram (cloth), rice, dhal, jaggery (for Neivedyam) and other necessary items are dispatched from Sri Mahaperiyava Sharanalayam to these temples, ensuring that worship continues without interruption.

How Devotees Can Contribute

Devotees can actively support this initiative in the following ways:

  • Financial Contributions – Donations help procure and dispatch puja essentials, ensuring uninterrupted worship in these temples.
  • Adopt a temple – Devotees can adopt one or more temple and fully contribute towards the monthly puja expenses.
  • Identifying Temples in Need – Devotees can notify the Trust about temples that require support for their daily pujas.
  • Spreading Awareness – Encouraging more people to participate in this divine service and sustain temple worship.

By supporting this sacred cause, devotees uphold Mahaperiyava’s vision, ensuring that temples remain vibrant centers of divine grace.
