Pradosham

Pradosham is a sacred time dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva, observed twice a month on the Trayodashi tithi. It is believed that during this time, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are most receptive to devotees’ prayers, making it an auspicious occasion for seeking divine grace.

Pradosham at Sri Mahaperiyava Sharanalayam holds deep significance, as the arrival of four sacred Lingas closely followed the arrival of Sri Mahaperiyava’s roopam. These include a small granite Lingam with Nandi, a Spatika Lingam, a Bana Lingam, and the revered Pasupathinath Lingam. This divine sequence of events is not mere coincidence but the divine will of Sri Mahaperiyava, who is Parameshwara himself.

Pradosham is observed with utmost bhakti and dedication. Special abhishekam, pujas, maha aarti, and shodasha upacharam are performed for Shiva Lingams.

The special rituals and abhishekams performed on Pradosham create a spiritually charged atmosphere, filling devotees with devotion and inner peace.

Join us for the Pradosham puja from 4:30 PM to 6:15 PM and be a part of this sacred celebration.
