Moolam
Moolam Nakshatra is considered highly significant for Lord Hanuman because it is his birth star. Hanuman was born under the Moolam Nakshatra in the Tamil month of Margazhi (December–January). This makes Moolam an auspicious day to worship him.
At Sri Mahaperiyava Sharanalayam, a special abhishekam is performed for Lord Hanuman every month on the Moolam star day. Hanuman Ji, fondly known as Bhakta Anjaneya, is enshrined in the magnificent 18-ft Rama Stupi, a rare and divine sight to behold. Offerings such as Vennai Kaapu, Vada Mala Archana, and Aarti are performed with great devotion.
Hanuman Swami embodies the highest form of bhakti, and we constantly seek to learn the essence of true devotion through him.
