Madhuram Hall – Sri Mahaperiyava Sharanalayam – Third Floor
The third floor of Sharanalayam houses the Madhuram Hall, a sacred space where Vaideega Bhojanam takes place. The hall is named after Madhuram, the mother of a devotee, who is a truly unique of creation of Sri Sri Mahaperiyava. With unwavering devotion, she has dedicated her entire life to serving those in need and in this selfless service she experiences Mahaperiyava’s unconditional love.
Madhuram also means sweetness and everything about this hall reflects that divine sweetness. As you step inside you are welcomed by the majestic presence of Ma Annapoorni whose breathtaking beauty leaves one spellbound. This exquisite marble idol radiates divine grace, and Her compassionate expression seems to lovingly invite every visitor to partake in a sumptuous meal.
At Sharanalayam, no one leaves with an empty stomach. Sri GR Mama ensures that Anna Dhanam is offered on all important occasions and prasad distribution continues throughout the temple’s open hours. This commitment to feeding devotees is a reflection of Mahaperiyava’s boundless grace. The presence of Annapoorni in Madhuram hall is yet another miracle of Mahaperiyava. While finalising the design for the marble sculpture, a rare image of Annapoorni was found in an old book, as if divinely sent. This very image became an inspiration for the sculptor who brought life into the Ma Annapoorni who we today worship with deep reverence. Come to Sharanalayam and witness for yourself the grandeur of Goddess Annapoorni, whose presence is a testament to Mahaperiyava’s ever-flowing blessings.
